What is a court check?

It is a check conducted to identify court cases on an individual or a company.

What are the types of Court Check?

There are Two Types of Court Check as follows:

- E Court Check

- Physical Court Check

What is the difference between both the Court Checks?

E Court Check is conducted by accessing information through government sourced website and databases to obtain information.

  

Whereas , a Physical Court check is conducted by physically visiting the below courts and checking the information:

i. City Civil Court / Rural Civil Court 

ii. District/Session & Additional Session Court 

iii. Magistrate Court & JMFC Court 

iv. High Court

What type of records are found through Court Check?

Criminal and Civil judgments on individuals and companies.

How far back can records be searched?

For E Court Check: The records are normally searched for the last 7 to 10 years depending on the clients requirement. However, the data for E Courts is available since 2000 but, not all courts have digitized and updated information for all the years. It’s a continuous process at courts end to update the same and add to the ever growing database.


For Physical Court Check: The records are normally searched for the last 7 to 10 years depending on the clients requirement. However, the data is available for all the cases till date in the courts.

What is required information?

- Name of applicant /organization

- Fathers Name

- Complete address

- DOB 

What is the turnaround time?

For E Court Check: Average TAT is 2.5 working days (Ranging from 2 – 5 working days)


For Physical Court Check: Average TAT is 3 working days (Ranging from 2 – 5 working days)

Do we require authorization from applicant?

No.

Is there any involvement of Police in this type of search?

No.

Can this search be used a primary search for criminal and civil records across India?

We recommend using physical court check service as a preliminary search. 

How often records are updated?

For E Court Check: Records are being digitized and added to the library by judiciary departments on daily basis. These records become available once published on various e-courts websites of different states across India. 


For Physical Court Check: Records are available and updated on a real time basis.

What is the source of these records?

For E Court Check: Records are being aggregated from various district e-courts across India including Supreme court + High courts. 


For Physical Court Check: Records are being aggregated by physically visiting and checking records at the following courts of the given jurisdiction. 

i. City Civil Court / Rural Civil Court 

ii. District/Session & Additional Session Court 

iii. Magistrate Court & JMFC Court 

iv. High Court
